Jill Zarin Shares Heartfelt Advice with RHONJ’s Teresa and Luis, Guided by Late Husband’s Wisdom

In a Bravo show crossover, The Real Housewives of New York City alum Jill Zarin appears as a guest on The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s podcast this July. The two ladies appear to be great pals as they chat about everything from the expenses they splurge at the vets to dealing with loss, and Jill’s controversial Below Deck cameo.

Jill Zarin’s Real Housewives of New York City days are long gone, but she appears to be the Bravo gift that keeps on giving as she remains a relevant reality TV star in her sixties. During Teresa’s podcast, Turning the Tables by Teresa Giudice, the RHONJ star shows off her recording studio. During the segment, RHONY’s Jill turns talk to Tre’s husband, Luis Ruelas.

Jill Zarin offers advice

Teresa Giudice may be experiencing some friction with her co-stars on RHONJ these days, but she has Jill in her corner, per her latest podcast episode.

Speaking on Turning the Tables, Jill says she thinks Luis is a “great guy” and that Teresa is “lucky” to have him.

She says: “I think you should maybe consider having Luis on a regular basis. Once a week or something. I think there’s so many female podcasts out there, so many females and so many duo females, two women, gay men, but I think like a straight couple, there are a lot of single women out there who are looking for love and are always asking for advice.

“Having two people give an opinion, a male and a female, is very helpful. Because some stuff, you know, men are from Mars, women are from Venus… it’s true, men are hunters and women are nesters, that’s genetics.”

Teresa is not only open to the idea of collaborating with her husband on the pod, but also says she’s got an episode in the pipeline: “I’m gonna have Luis on, not next week, the week after, my producer loved it. I’m all about promoting love and I want other people to find love.”

Jill adds why she believes Luis should take the spotlight on the podcast: “I think that people will get to know Luis more on a personal level than just seeing him on TV.

“Because he doesn’t get the interviews, so he doesn’t get to defend himself so it’s all about what everybody else is saying. If he has his own voice here, then he can really talk about whatever he wants to talk about.”

Teresa and Jill agree they’re both “nurturing women,” as Tre thanks her guest for her advice and support: “Definitely, I love chatting with him, so thank you, I will think about that, you always give me great ideas.”

Jill says her husband is ‘guiding her’

As Jill sings Luis’ praises, mentioning how he “paid for dinner last night,” she says how he reminds her of her late husband, Bobby Zarin: “Bobby was that way.”

Bobby passed away in 2018 at 71 years old after a long battle with thyroid and lung cancer.

He and Jill married in 2000 and were together until his death.

Six years after her husband’s passing, Jill exclusively tells Us Weekly this summer how she believes her husband is “always with her.”

She explains: “Bobby is totally here… He’s been guiding me a lot recently in some challenges I’ve had in business. I’ve had to make some very tough decisions and I feel like he’s guiding my hand. When one door closes, two open…

“…I’m going to see him [next week]. I’m going to go to the cemetery. We actually picked it out together. We have a beautiful spot like a park. There are no stones, they’re on the ground and I have a park bench there.”
