Rachel Fuda’s Glamorous PJ Party Had a Surprising Rule: No ‘Sleeping in My Castle’

On The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Episode 11, Rachel Fuda threw a pajama party that seriously made a case for slumber parties with your besties at any stage of life. With delicate florals, soft lighting, plus slippers and an impressive snack and beverage spread, the RHONJ cast member’s event took girls’ night to a whole new level.

The only thing missing: a place for each of the Garden State ladies to sleep. “Traditionally, one would call this party a slumber party,” Rachel explained in an interview during the episode. “But I will be referencing it as a stayover. So they’re just going to stay over for an extended period of time.”

The hostess continued, “But no one will be sleeping in my castle.”

With that boundary established, Rachel turned her attention towards the goal of the evening: Repairing strained relationships among the ‘Wives. “The last few times these ladies have gotten together, it’s gone not great,” she said in the confessional, “But I hope that the ambiance will help everybody have a good time.”

“And I got them all pajamas with their monogram on them,” she added, “Who could be angry in monogram pajamas?”

As her husband John got ready to head out, Rachel explained her other hope for the evening: “I just want to have fun!”

Margaret Josephs was the first guest to arrive. She was followed by Melissa Gorga, Jackie Goldschneider, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, and Jennifer Fessler.

“I’m hoping that tonight will be fun,” Jennifer Fessler manifested in her confessional. “I got PJs. There are cupcakes. I’m really, really cautiously optimistic.”

She arrived with a mission. After greeting the other ‘Wives, Jennifer pulled Rachel aside for a heart-to-heart. Once they kissed and made up for the tension between them, it was time for the games to begin.

“I like to have things at my parties that not everybody has, so I thought [this] would be perfect,” said Rachel. She was talking about Krissy, a “lipstick reader” — similar to a palm reader, except she divines her information from your smooch on a napkin. (Margaret asked if lip filler would “affect the reading at all,” and fortunately, it would not.)

Danielle Cabral was the last to arrive, bringing with her a wafer cake that caused a little bit of controversy with how it might have depicted one of the other ‘Wives. That didn’t last long, though, since the ladies circled up for a few rounds of “champagne bongs” and then sat down to eat and enjoy the “sisterhood moment” together.
