Andy Cohen Proposes Solutions to Mend ‘RHONJ’ Fractures

Andy Cohen is offering possible solutions to fix a very broken RHONJ. As Season 14 began, it was clear that the cast was way too divided. So much so that they could not continue on that way and production knew this. Therefore, talks shifted to a reboot but what are some other options? Keep reading for more details as to what could happen.

Andy Cohen Offers Possible Solutions To Fix Broken RHONJ

The RHONJ women have fought and gotten vicious but Season 14 takes the cake. Teresa Giudice and her brother, Joe Gorga are not even speaking. This means she will not interact or socialize with her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga. The parties and events are separate and cast members are taking sides, making filming extremely hard. Though it was said that they did not need the Teresa and Melissa drama for an exciting season, it seems they still needed the ladies to be around one another.

Andy Cohen noted that the show could not go on this way and would not survive. Therefore, talks of a reboot began. Then, the reunion was canceled, and that made fans very nervous. The last time a reunion for a Housewives show was canceled, it was for RHONY after Season 13. Then, the show went on an indefinite hiatus and was eventually rebooted with a completely new cast. Could this be the fate for RHONJ? According to Collider, Andy is speaking out about the future of RHONJ. He has previously said there would be a hiatus between seasons before any decisions were made.

Now, he seems to have some solutions as to how the show can go on but do they make sense? Andy opened up on Jeff Lewis Has Issues and he shared there are “four different ways” to try to make the show work:

“When the stars don’t want to be in the same galaxy, that’s not sustainable. I think anything is an option.”

This seemingly includes a reboot if that is what it will take to keep the franchise alive. Andy Cohen went on to elaborate on the four ways:

“I think there are four different ways that we could go with that show. And I think you could probably figure out what they are. We are going to let this season play out. We will all talk. We’ll do the focus group stuff. We’ll do all the stuff we do. And we’ll probably do a bunch of casting. And we’ll take our time.”

Bravo and Andy are not in a rush to switch things up as this is one of the fan favorites and they clearly do not want to make a mistake.

Nothing To Close Out

Since there will be no RHONJ reunion, Andy Cohen made it clear that those are utilized to bring a cast together. Once the season ended, it was apparent that was not necessary. So, that was axed and there will be an alternate reunion special. Allegedly, the two friend groups will watch the finale together and offer commentary. So, both sides will have their say in a very unique way. It is also rumored to be the shortest season of the show yet but time will tell what will happen.

How do you think the series should proceed? Is it time for a new cast, for it to end completely, or to let go of a few people? Let us know in the comments below and watch RHONJ Sundays on Bravo.
